Guatemalan - Huehuetenango

$ 12.95

Region: Huehuetenango

Varietal: Caturra, Bourbon, and Pache

Process: Washed

Aroma: Floral, citrus

Body: Vibrant

Tasting Notes: Green Apple & Praline

Finish: Bright, lively

Guatemala is the ninth largest coffee growing region and the coffee produced in the Huehuetenango region is generally considered the best in the country. "Highland" Huehuetenango coffees are grown at an elevation of up to 2,000 masl. The extreme remoteness of Huehuetenango necessitates that all producers mill their own coffees. Fortunately, the area has an almost infinite number of rivers and streams, so that mills can be placed very near to where the coffee is grown. An intensely fragrant single origin coffee that has a sparkling acidity, smooth body, and a sublimely dry finish.
