Isaac Mejia
Josué Isaac Mejía owns Finca Quebrada Onda, located in the small community of the same name in the municipality of Villa de San Antonio. Mejía is an engineer whose passion for coffee brought him back to coffee production despite having a career outside the industry.
Isaac Mejía lives between two worlds, working in both fields. Some days, he can be found supervising civil construction projects, and other days, he is working on his farm with the dedication his father taught him.
His father, Don Ismael, dedicated his life to traditional coffee cultivation. From a young age, his father brought Isaac along to the coffee farms, hoping to pass along his love and respect for the land.
Eventually, his father decided to hand the farm down to him, and he took over its management and production. With this generational change and acquired knowledge, Mejía has improved both the management and production of the farm, achieving a level of excellence.
ROASTED AT ALTITUDE
All our beans are roasted on-site in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. At high altitude, the lower roasting temperatures allow the natural sugars in the coffee beans to caramelize slowly. This unique process creates deep, rich flavor profiles and smooth textures — without the bitterness.
RESPONSIBLY SOURCED
At VMCT, we take pride in fostering direct relationships with growers to ensure that every coffee bean and tea leaf we source is responsibly cultivated. We’re committed to ethical, organic, and sustainable practices, understanding that certification standards can vary across the globe. That’s why we go the extra mile to research and verify that our producers meet rigorous organic and bio-dynamic farming standards. For us, it’s not just about great coffee and tea — it’s about honoring the land and the people who bring it to life.
